As for the resources of living, the most important fishing as it is a coastal city, in addition to agriculture and trade has been thriving in these three main areas starting from the Phoenician era as well as the reign of Prince Fakhruddin II, specifically in the seventeenth century AD, Most of the orchards are green and beautiful, and in the transition to fishing, which is its main character, from which its name was taken as mentioned in many accounts, this craft was still the foundation and the officials are trying to develop it more and more to become the first tourist, cultural and heritage center in Lebanon. .
