This historic Andalusian city is characterized by its simple white houses, and it had a large mosque in the Islamic era, but it was demolished after the Muslims left it.


Randa experienced great prosperity during the period of Islamic rule in Andalusia, and it was a regional capital, and to it is attributed the Andalusian poet Abu Al-Baqa Al-Randi, the author of the famous poem “The Elegy of Andalusia”, which he says at the beginning:
