A man did not give up: he took the car apart and built a motorcycle from its parts.

Adventurer Emile Leray's old Citroen 2CV broke down in the Sahara in 1993, and the man did not give up: he took the car apart and built a motorcycle from its parts.

In 1993, French electrician Émile Leray drove an old Citroen 2CV out of Morocco to reach a military outpost across the African Sahara. In the middle of the trip, the car hit a stone - one of its parts broke and it was impossible to fix this in the desert.

Knowing that he was very far from the cities and did not want to risk walking. The guy decided to make a motorcycle from parts of his wrecked car.

It took a full 12 days (fortunately, there were supplies of food and water in the trunk). The end result is that he has actually managed to make a fully functional bike.

To build the bike, Leray shortened the chassis, attached two wheels to it, and installed the engine in the middle.

The man rode the bike and returned to the city and a day later, he arrived at the Moroccan police station, who signed a heavy fine for driving an unidentified car that did not match what was stated in his papers.

The unusual bike is still found in Leray's backyard as a reminder of adventures in the desert.
