Giethoorn 2021...a quiet, beautiful, reassuring village in the north-east of the Netherlands

You can enjoy wonderful views of the houses overlooking the canals, amidst the plants and flowers in a nice cool atmosphere.

The means of transportation is either by boat or walking or sometimes by bike, if the village is not crowded, there are no cars because there are not big enough roads for it.

You can take a boat tour for an hour through the canals of the village with a tour guide to see it more comprehensively for about 12 euros, or rent your own boat to roam freely, but at a higher price that may reach 60 euros.

Then you can rest and have lunch in one of the restaurants or cafes overlooking one of the channels
Don't go during public holidays to avoid crowds.

You can go from anywhere by train and/or bus because the village has a special station, after reaching the station you will walk for five minutes along a large canal and get there.
