How do you know failed societies???
When the Russian writer Anton Chekhov was asked about the nature of failed societies, he answered by saying:
In failed societies, there are a thousand idiots for every sane mind, and a thousand clumsy words for every conscious word. The majority always remains foolish, and constantly defeats the wise. If you see trivial topics dominating discussions in a society, and trivial people dominate the scene, then you are talking about a very failed society.
For example, songs and meaningless words find millions of people dancing and chanting them, and the owner of the song becomes famous, well-known and beloved. Even people take their opinion on the affairs of society and life.
As for writers and authors, no one knows them and no one gives them value or weight. Most people love triviality and anesthesia. Someone who anesthetizes us to take our minds away from us, and someone who makes us laugh with trivialities, is better than someone who wakes us up to reality and hurts us with the truth. Therefore, democracy is not suitable for ignorant societies, because the ignorant majority is the one that will decide your fate.!
