March 8 is International Women's Day, which is the anniversary of a massacre that took place on March 8, 1908 in America, when a textile factory owner closed the factory doors on female workers and burned it down, as a result of their strike and their demands for better wages.

This led to the death of all the female workers, who numbered 129 workers of American and Italian nationalities.

Thus, this day became a symbol and a memory of the injustice and suffering of women throughout the ages..
