Aerial Encounters: Unveiling the Giant Snake of 1959!

This photograph was taken in 1959 by a Belgian helicopter pilot named Colonel Rémi Van Lierde while on an aerial patrol over the Congo. He saw a snake approximately 50 feet (15 meters) long, dark brown/green in color, with a white belly. Its jaw was triangular, and its head measured approximately 3 x 2 feet.

Van Lierde claims that when he approached the snake with his aircraft for a closer look, the snake rose approximately 10 feet (3 meters), as if to warn him, indicating that it would have attacked the aircraft had it been within striking range.
