From Real Life to Horror: How David Parker Ray Inspired 'Saw'

The story of "David Parker Ray" is inspired by true events..! He is the real person who inspired the events and ideas of the famous "Saw" movie series. This Mexican man owned a torture chamber that he had equipped with $100,000, complete with whips, chains to bind hands and feet, and other sharp blades and saws.

The main goal was to blackmail and assault women. Over time, Parker enjoyed torture and began kidnapping men as well, with the help of his partners. However, most of his victims were women.

He was creative in his torture schemes to inflict the greatest possible pain on his victims, using methods such as electricity and hanging his victims from the wall. The torture was also psychological, as he would demand impossible things from his victims to keep them alive "via a small screen placed in the room."

Because these were impossible demands, he would, of course, eventually kill them. The reasons for Parker's torturous thinking go back to his exposure to sexual assault by A young man, he faced a lot of ridicule from his classmates due to his shyness in dealing with the opposite sex. This complex led to his becoming a bigger complex, and he became a serial killer out of revenge.

Parker was arrested in 1999 after one of his victims escaped, tied up with a dog collar, naked, and showing signs of torture on her body. She reported him to the police, who immediately arrested him. Parker claimed 60 victims, and he was sentenced to 224 years in prison. He died in 2002, three years after his imprisonment.
