Radical Dacia Hipster revealed as 800kg electric car for sub-£15k
The Dacia Hipster is making waves in Europe.
An electric car made from recycled materials.
It features a unique design.
It is priced in Europe at around €15,000.
Inspired by the spirit of the Mini, the Fiat 500, and the original Volkswagen Beetle, Dacia has launched a new four-seater city car weighing less than 800 kg, designed to significantly reduce the price of electric vehicles.
Called the Hipster, it measures just 1.55 meters wide, 1.53 meters high, and 3 meters long—shorter than any car currently on sale. Yet, it offers four full-size seats and up to 500 liters of cargo space with the rear seats folded—enough room for a washing machine.
Dacia aims to "enable as many people as possible to access basic mobility" in the face of rising costs caused by regulation and electrification, with Hipster envisioning a model that will be even cheaper than the £15,000 Spring EV - one of the cheapest full-size cars in Europe.
