A Japanese Zoo Welcomes a New Baby Monkey! The Story of the Trending Monkey

The story revolves around a monkey known as "Punch," who was abandoned by his mother when he was still a baby. Humans took him in and cared for him. When he grew up, he was transferred to a zoo in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, in the hope that he would integrate with his fellow monkeys and live a normal life among them.
However, it wasn't easy. He couldn't adapt to the group, and the other monkeys rejected him, sometimes avoiding him and other times attacking him, leaving him to live in painful isolation and loneliness.
The zoo staff noticed his psychological state and gave him a stuffed monkey to provide some of the affection he had lacked since he was a baby. Since then, he cuddles with it wherever he goes, as if it were his safe haven and companion in his loneliness.
His story reminds us that animals are creatures that feel and suffer, and need compassion and mercy just as much as humans do.
