She recruited her husband and four lovers to torture her sixth boyfriend!
A court in Ohio, USA, concluded one of the strangest torture and revenge cases by sentencing 29-year-old Martina jones Esqueda to 22 years in prison.
The crime, which Judge Lori Olender described as having disgusted the court, began when Martina jones convinced her husband and four of her lovers to kidnap and torture a sixth boyfriend, 26-year-old Austin McClellan, as punishment for a previous argument at the home they all shared in Toledo.
The defense tried to sway the court by speaking of Martina's harsh childhood, claiming she had never known love and had suffered abuse at the hands of those who were supposed to protect her. However, the judge completely rejected this argument, asserting that the defendant had channeled all her traumas into the victim, placing him in the same situation she had endured.
The diabolical plot began with a lie Martina fabricated. She had broken her arm while trying to break up a dog fight, but told her lovers that Austin had deliberately broken it to incite their anger and drive them to carry out their revenge plan.
The victim lived a true nightmare for over a week in a motel room, where he was brutally beaten with a metal baseball bat, forced to stand for long periods, and allowed to eat or drink only once a day.
The nightmare finally ended when his captors allowed him to go to a nearby store so he could contact his mother and save his life. While the husband and three of the lovers have already been sentenced, the last defendant, David, awaits trial. The verdict will be announced next week, bringing to a close the chapter on the emotional revenge gang.
