Some car enthusiasts rely on a simple trick: attaching a powerful neodymium magnet to the engine oil filter. The goal isn't to attract large pieces of debris, but rather to trap microscopic metal particles that conventional filters often fail to capture.



These tiny fragments, produced by internal engine friction, constantly circulate with the oil. Over time, they can contribute to increased wear and tear on the cylinders and bearings.

This is where the magnetic field comes in. It attracts and traps the tiny iron particles on the filter's inner wall.
