The Indonesian coastline struck by the tsunami, as seen from the air!
The tsunami hit the coast of Aceh province about 20 minutes after the earthquake. Banda Aceh, the nearest major city, suffered heavy casualties. The sea receded, revealing the seabed, prompting locals to collect stranded fish and explore the area.
