Imagine entering a cave and encountering enormous crystals several times taller than a person!
The Cave of Giant Crystals in Mexico is one of the strangest places on Earth. It contains colossal gypsum crystals, some reaching over 11 meters in length and weighing tens of tons. These crystals didn't form over years or centuries; they took hundreds of thousands of years to reach this astonishing size.
The cave is incredibly hot, with temperatures reaching around 58 degrees Celsius and humidity nearly 100%. Therefore, humans can only stay inside for short periods and with special equipment.
When miners discovered it in 2000, it looked like something out of a fairy tale, but everything in it is natural and formed deep within the earth over time.
