Far from the hordes of tourists, some sections of the #wall have retained their wild charm.

#Jiankou (Arrow Nock #箭扣长城) has perhaps the most frequent appearance on #GreatWall picture books and postcards. As one of the most dangerous sections of the Great Wall, Jiankou is also a photographic hotspot. It is increasingly steeper than #Mutianyu, twistier and more varied than Simatai.

The Jiankou Great Wall is considered a "wild" Great Wall, due to its dilapidated state and location along a mountain ridge with steep cliffs on either side, making it only recommended for experienced hikers.

The Great Wall at Jiankou retains its original appearance since its construction in 1368. It is wild and unique made of large white rocks, and has been out of repair for many years. It is an ideal place for adventurous and experienced hikers and photographers.📸📸📸
