The Miracle of "Eternal Soup" in Bangkok – A Culinary Story That Lasts Over 45 Years!

In a popular alleyway in Bangkok, Thailand, lies a modest restaurant called Wattana Panich, but it holds an amazing culinary story: broth that has been simmering continuously since 1979!

What is "Eternal Broth"?

It's known among locals as "generational broth" or "eternal soup" because it is cooked daily, with fresh meat, herbs, and spices added, without ever cooling or emptying the pot.

A portion of the soup is strained each night.

Then the huge pot is refilled with more than 60 kilograms of meat and bones.

This daily accumulation over decades gives the soup a unique, rich flavor.

Who runs this miracle?

The sons and grandsons of the Kawinonthaung family have been carrying out this task for three generations, carefully preserving this living heritage. The broth is cooked in a huge steel pot about 1.5 meters wide!
