According to NOVEC, which shared its experience in the project, the bridge structure consists of two parallel bridges, each with a length of 1,725 meters, and is considered the longest in Morocco.
The project, which is expected to be completed (according to some sources) at the beginning of next year 2023, includes the construction of a new orbital road west of the city of El-Ayoun, at a distance of approximately 7 kilometers, allowing transit traffic to circumvent the city without entering it.
In addition to the construction of a large concrete bridge over Wadi al-Sakia al-Hamra, its total length is about 1725 meters, and it accommodates two lanes in each direction of traffic (2×2), including the construction of deep foundations.
The total cost of the project as a whole is more than 1 billion dirhams.
