Fez dominates the top 25 cultural cities to visit in 2023, according to the Trip Advisor ranking.
The spiritual capital of the kingdom is ranked first in Trip Advisor's top 25 cultural destinations to visit in 2023. According to this ranking, travelers are invited to discover certain key places in the city, such as the Al Quaraouiyine University, as well as the old medina.
The world guide " Travelers' Choice Best of the Best " for the year 2023, highlights destinations where you can enjoy history, art, music, gastronomy, etc., across the globe. The top 5 for this new edition is dominated by Fez (Morocco), Jerusalem, Athens (Greece), Dublin (Ireland) and Jaipur (India).
Trip Advisor indicates comments: " the oldest university in the world is not Oxford or the Sorbonne - it is Al Quaraouiyine University, and you will find it in Fez el Bali ".
The tourism platform recommends its readers to visit the old medina, Fez el Bali, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Not only does Fez top the list in the culture category, but it has also been listed as Trip Advisor's trending destination for 2023.
As a trending destination, Fez ranked seventh, while Agadir, the most visited city in southern Morocco, ranked 21st out of the top 25 cities.
