The first computer mouse was made of wood in 1964!....

Computer is part of all of our daily lives. The computer mouse is also an essential part of any computer.
However, although there are similar functions between the first mouse and the current computer mouse, the first computer mouse had a completely different structure than the modern mouse...
Invention of the first mouse:

This tool was not known in the media world!

Until the insight of a genius inventor opened the first model breakfast....the mouse was wooden...
It was the first model consisting of two metal wheels, a printed circuit and one button. With a colorful wooden cover!

The device was called a "mouse" because of its similar appearance to that of a small rodent: the small box resembled the body of a mouse and the cable resembled its tail.
Inventor:

The American electrical engineer Douglas Engelbart (photo below) invented the first mouse in 1964 when he was a researcher at Stanford Research Institute.

Engelbart filed a patent for the mouse in 1967 and introduced his device for the first time the following year to the public.

The computer company licensed the mouse for $40,000, which was a huge amount at the time.
Development of the second model:

In 1972 the Angel-Bart model became a crossover... when engineer Bill English created the first ball mouse for Xerox.

The first personal computers were associated with this second generation mouse
optical mouse:

The most widely used model today, the optical mouse, was invented in 1980 but wasn't marketed until 1998.

Introducing the first inventor of the mouse.... a pioneer in the computer field....

Douglas Carl Engelbart: January 30, 1925 - July 2, 2013....was an American engineer, visionary inventor, and computer pioneer.

He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering (University of California - Berkeley).

He is known for the following exciting and distinctive achievements:

Invention of the mouse

Developing the human-machine interface

- hypertext system development,

- E-mails

- office (desktop)

Developing computer networks and intranets

Develop the first graphical user interfaces (GUIs).

Among them are the pillars of modern computing.

He was crowned with many awards and medals. His research career spanned nearly 60 years.
He passed away in 2013 at the age of 88.
