A cave in Mexico reportedly contains an ancient pool that has never been used by humans and is located 700 feet underground.
Just below the Lechuguilla Cave's entrance, Max Wisshak recently made a new discovery that astonished everyone to the core.
Despite the fact that you can access it from the backcountry of Carlsbad Caverns National Park from New Mexico, the locals refer to this as the "sister cave."
It was first discovered in 1993, but nobody actually wanted to enter it because it appeared to be so strange.
Since no one had ever entered it before and because it appeared to be isolated from the rest of the world, it was probably also poisonous, so people have avoided it for the longest time, to put it mildly.
Wisshak, however, recently made the decision to give in to his curiosity as he planned a trip to the cave. He entered and saw what looked like a large pool with a distinct cyan-blue hue.
He later asserted that the strange color is nothing more than an optical illusion, given that it was already apparent.
It seems to be about two feet long and a few inches deep, and from what they can tell, it hasn't been touched by humans in well over a hundred years.
It's possible that it dates back thousands of years based on the microorganisms inside, but this is still up for debate.
