The Strangest Hotel In The World Is In Egypt
Did you know that Egypt has the strangest hotel in the world, specifically in the Siwa Oasis? This unique hotel has no electricity, television, telephone, air conditioning, or any other technology, and is considered one of the most expensive hotels in the world.
The Adrere Amellal Hotel, which translates to "White Mountain Hotel" in Arabic, is one of the strangest hotels in the world, if not the strangest. It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of life and technology, transporting you back to a time before the age of speed and technology.
There is no electricity, no mobile phone (no internet), or anything from our modern era. Everything is derived from nature and the desert environment. This means that all lighting is provided by candles and lanterns, and the food is based on vegetables grown in the hotel's garden. Cooking is based on traditional methods used by desert dwellers of the past.
The hotel is a 40-room salt hotel (built with salt stone) located in the middle of the desert on the outskirts of the Siwa Oasis. Its walls are entirely constructed of sand and Siwan soil, which we call "Irig." This is salt coated with clay and is a heat-insulating building material similar to mud bricks. It has been used in construction in Siwa for thousands of years, making Adrar Amlal a cool oasis amidst the scorching heat of the desert.
The hotel's doors are wooden, the ceilings of the rooms are made of palm trees, and all the furniture is primitive and inspired by nature. It is surrounded by the seventh largest lake in Siwa, with olive and palm trees in harmony, making you feel as if you have stepped back thousands of years in time.
Many tourists come specifically to stay at this hotel to experience the experience. The most famous visitor to the hotel and stay there was King Charles of England and his wife.
By the way, the hotel is very expensive, but its concept is even more so, and its presence in Egypt, and in the beautiful land of Siwa, the Sunset Oasis, is even more precious
Egypt offers every type of tourism you could imagine, whether historical, beach, classic, religious, etc.!!! But the strange thing is that we've also discovered a new type of tourism called time travel.
