Humanoid robot 'arrested' for scaring 70-year-old woman in China|VIDEO
A video circulating online has sparked controversy on social media showing a robot allegedly arrested in China after harassing a 70-year-old woman. According to the South China Morning Post, the robot, a Unitry G1 model, suddenly stopped behind the woman as she was checking her phone. When she noticed it, she panicked and screamed, prompting two police officers to escort the robot away.
During the incident, the woman was not physically harmed; however, she was still rushed to the hospital as a precautionary measure and later discharged. The video of the incident went viral after it was posted on social media.
Chinese police reportedly detained a humanoid robot in Macau after it allegedly scared a 70-year-old woman. The incident took place in the evening while the woman was walking in the vicinity of the Lok Yeung Fa Yuen residential complex in Patane last Thursday, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
