The Fake Crowd Trick Hollywood Doesn’t Want You to Notice

The Inflatable Crowd manufactures realistic inflatable figures used to fill crowds in films. The concept was developed around 2002 during the production of the film "Seabiskiet," where thousands of fake spectators filled stadium scenes.

Since then, these figures have appeared in dozens of films and television programs. Adorned with costumes, wigs, and masks, they appear realistic from a distance, allowing filmmakers to create massive crowds without employing thousands of real actors or relying solely on expensive computer visual effects.
