A city abandoned by its population , and there remained only 1500 people .. This city is looking for immigrants

The Italian city of Reggio Calabria is trying to survive, searching for immigrants to live in, after being abandoned by its inhabitants, mostly young people, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"The streets of Reggio Calabria are empty of pedestrians, and the windows of their homes are closed," the newspaper said.

Domenico Locano, the city's mayor on the Mediterranean Sea in southern Italy, was forced to do so because she was no longer wanted by her young men who moved to the northern and central cities in search of better employment opportunities.

He said that the migrants who arrived in the country 15 years ago - across the Mediterranean because of its proximity to the coasts of Italian Sicily and the Libyan coast - are working in various fields, such as grazing, butchery, bus driving, and others.

For its part, the Italian National Institute of Agricultural Economics, in a new statistic, that the population of Reggio Calabria with the "immigrants" who are working now is 1500 people, and this is not enough.
