This is how Google will make users discover new global sites without traveling to them




The US Department of State is making it easier for people to explore cultural heritage sites from around the world thanks to a partnership with Google Arts & Culture. The dedicated section, announced as part of Heritage Day World Heritage Day, will allow people to virtually explore the heritage sites of 1,100 Ambassadors Fonds in more than 130 countries around the world.



The specialized site Engadget said that some of the sites on display include Wat Chaiwatthanaram in Ayutthaya in Thailand, the Shrine of Imam Shafi'i in Egypt and the ancient Nabataean flood protection system in Petra. Finally, the Cultural Heritage Center has added over 100 new photos of the sites. Besides these, there is a story about cultural heritage preservation, complete with video and photos, created by the US Department of State's Cultural Heritage Center.
