Mira Moratti's interest in artificial intelligence began in 2013, when she joined the electric car maker Tesla, which is owned by billionaire Elon Musk, and was at the time launching early versions of automated driving, known as "Autopilot", a program to assist the driver, supported by intelligence. artificial.

This prompted Mira Moratti to think about using artificial intelligence in other applications. And in 2016, she moved to Leap Motion, to work on the startup's augmented reality system and replace consoles, according to Fast Company.


Mira Moratti's enthusiasm for AI made her hope at the time to make computer interaction intuitive, but with some experimentation at the time, she realized that VR and AI technology was nowhere near ready to attract a mass audience.


Despite Mira Moratti's shock at the public's unwillingness to use artificial intelligence; However, she believed that huge technological advances must play a role in solving the world's biggest challenges, and with joining OpenAI in 2018, she began working on launching programs that use artificial intelligence to solve basic problems.

Hence, she started overseeing the launch of ChatGPT chatbot, believing in the right to bring AI to the general public.

During an interview with Time magazine, Mira Moratti commented on ChatGPT's clearing tests: “We weren't expecting this level of excitement from putting our baby in the world, in fact we had some trepidation putting her out there, I'm curious to see where it will start to generate interest For people, not just novelty and pure curiosity.”
