Car seats on airplanes

Do you sit in your car seat during the trip?

Is this something you've thought about?

It can come in handy if you want to use your car seat while in your new destination rather than renting one that may be old and outdated.

A car seat on a plane is safer than having your baby on your lap but you still need to follow the two-hour rule – a baby can only stay in a car seat for a maximum of two hours for safety reasons.

To use a child car seat on an aircraft, it must be approved by the CAA (UK Civil Aviation Authority), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) or TÃœV – this will be a sticker that says 'Approved for use in aircraft'.

Check with your airline to see if they accept car seats on your flight and check the regulations to see if this will suit you.

I've linked a helpful website with information on the best car seats you can use if that's something you want to consider.
