The mysterious "Qara" prison is the only prison that does not have doors.
Hundreds entered it and no one was able to leave it. There is this suspicious underground prison in the Moroccan city of Meknes. It is said that its area is unknown, and whoever enters it will never come out. It is a prison built by the Moroccan Sultan “Mawla Ismail” in order to imprison criminals and those who oppose him and his rule.
It is also said that the geometric shape of the prison is in the form of very complex corridors and labyrinths, in each hall there are several corridors, and each corridor leads to another hall, so that if you go into it even a little, it is almost impossible to find your way out again, and it is very difficult to get out. You return to where you came from. The size of the prison is not yet known. There are those who say that it is the size of the city of Meknes, and there are those who say that it extends tens of kilometers underground and perhaps it is the only prison in the world that does not have a door. So how do prisoners enter it? It contains several holes in the ceiling, from which prisoners are thrown and food is also thrown from the same hole, if the prison serves as a life prison.
There is a narration that says that Mawla Ismail made the prison one way out somewhere, and whoever finds it is free, but unfortunately no one found it. There are those who wonder, why was this prison not explored so that all its secrets could be revealed? The reason is simply that no one has the courage to enter it, and there is a widespread belief that says that the prison is haunted by jinn and goblins, and that it is cursed in some way. Many adventurers tried to explore it, and the result was that whoever entered it never returned.
One of the attempts was by a team of French explorers in the nineties, when this team prepared all the necessary tools and modern equipment to explore the depths of the “Qara” prison. The result was tragic, as the team disappeared and their fate remains unknown to this day. After this incident, the authorities closed the prison. The prison is surrounded by a cement wall, and only one hall is left for tourists.
