Google Maps can soon scan your screenshots to plan your

Google has announced new features for its Google Maps app aimed at making trip planning easier. One of these features is enabling users to mark locations in screenshots and save them to a special list. This feature helps organize trips and prevents information captured via screenshots from being lost among other images.

Using the Gemini smart assistant, the app will identify locations mentioned in text from screenshots saved on the phone and display them on a map. Users can review these locations and save them to a shareable list.

The feature will initially be available in English for iPhone users in the United States, before eventually arriving for Android users.
